Passionate about building games, improving daily, and growing through hands-on development, experimentation, and constant learning.
My professional journey and educational background
Completed a four-year degree focusing on Game Development, interactive media, animation, augmented reality (AR), and virtual reality (VR) participated in Game Jams and coding contests. Graduated with a solid foundation in Game development
Built a 2048-style game from scratch in Unity for web and mobile platforms, Implemented UI, animations, score saving, and core gameplay systems Improved a client project by fixing collisions, enhancing UI, integrating sound, and adding a boost mechanic, and creating character controller
Created game-ready props in Blender for Unreal Engine, including furniture, weapons, and environmental assets • Optimized high-poly models into performance-friendly low-poly meshes with clean topology and proper UVs • Iterated on assets based on feedback to improve shape, detail, and in-game readability • Finalized and tested assets for real-time use in Unreal Engine
Conducted manual playtesting on PC builds to identify gameplay, UI, and logic issues Documented bugs using structured reports and Jira-style workflows Participated in design discussions and gained exposure to studio production pipeline

Drone Apocalypse is a fast-paced first-person shooter where players battle waves of flying drones in a dark, dystopian city. The game features a dynamic combat system, intelligent drone AI, and timed gameplay mechanics where every kill extends the countdown timer. Developed entirely in Unreal Engine 5 using Blueprints,
Worked on porting a mobile game to PC, implementing PC-specific controls and a modular character skin system Collaborated closely with the team to refine gameplay, improve usability, and polish the overall player experience for PC release.
Endless Neon Runner is a neon-themed, color-based endless running game built in under 20 hours as a personal rapid-prototyping challenge. The focus of this project was to implement procedural tile generation, color-logic scoring, and randomized obstacle spawning within a strict time limit.

I’m Pratyush Gaur, a game developer who believes in learning by building. For me, development isn’t just about writing code it’s about creating interactive experiences that feel real, engaging, and meaningful.
I work with Unity and Unreal Engine 5 to design gameplay systems, experiment with mechanics, and bring concepts to life. Alongside this, I use Blender to create and integrate props, Sometimes this is part of a project pipeline, and sometimes it’s simply for fun, bringing ideas and imagination into 3D space.
Through college projects, solo development, and hands-on experimentation, I’ve learned the importance of ownership, clarity, and teamwork in building polished games. value thoughtful design, long-term thinking, and creating systems that scale as projects grow
I enjoy exploring how games work beneath the surface whether it’s gameplay logic, performance optimization, or system design. I focus on writing clean, maintainable code and improving through iteration, playtesting, and constant learning rather than quick fixes.
Beyond development, I value balance and personal growth. Gym keeps me disciplined, music helps me focus, and walking and running give me space to think and reset. I enjoy playing games to study mechanics from a player’s perspective, and cooking as a creative outlet that teaches patience and experimentation. My goal is to keep growing as a game developer, contribute to impactful projects, and build experiences that players genuinely enjoy.
